You can see Charles during the 2010 college football season on ESPNU studio shows “The Experts” and Thursday and Saturday night “SportsCenter U”. Previously Charles was the game analyst on the 3:30pm nationally televised games of the following conferences: ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big East, MEAC & SWAC. Charles has also appeared on “The Coaches Spotlight” as a Studio Analyst. Charles worked the 1st two rounds of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs during the 2005-2007; 2010 season and also worked the NCAA FCS Semi-Final round in 2009 between Appalachian St vs. Montana (the highest rated Division I semifinal game ever). Charles has been heard on SportsUSA Radio Network nationally doing NCAA and NFL broadcasts for the past seven seasons. From 1997-2004 Charles worked with the Indianapolis Colts TV and Radio Network during the NFL season. From 2000-2002 Charles was also the Color Analyst for the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League on the Firebirds Television Network (Fox Sports Net & WB4-Indianapolis) and also has also been seen on NBC and OLN telecasts of the AFL.
Charles was drafted in the fifth-round of the 1990 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. His career spanned over five years with three teams. He ended his career with the Indianapolis Colts in 1995.
Charles graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in history and was a three year starter and 2 time All-American Tight End for the Bruin football team. He is on UCLA's top 20 all-time receptions list. Charles played his college ball for Terry Donahue (College Football Hall of Famer) who is the former General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers. Coached by Rick Neuheisel (UCLA, Head Coach) and the late offensive guru Homer Smith (Retired and Author of many offensive textbooks) and Steve Axman (University of Idaho, Offensive Coordinator) while at UCLA. Played in the Freedom, Aloha & Cotton Bowls while at UCLA.

Full name is Charles Edward Arbuckle...born in Beaumont, Texas and attended Willowridge High School in Missouri City, Texas. Charles currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and two children. Charles has had a successful 18 year career in the corporate sector with 11 of those years in management and currently works for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Charles is also active in the community having served on many different boards and community service projects while playing and post-football. Currently involved with the NFLPA Retired Players-Charlotte chapter and formerly served on the ACT Foundation Board of Directors, which is a coalition of active and retired athletes charitable foundations and organizations.
